Sensei Joane Orbon holds a 4th-degree black belt in Goju-Ryu Karate-Do and holds over 21 years of martial arts experience. Her journey in karate began at the age of seven in Stockton, California, under the guidance of Sensei Gene Tibon. Since then, she has emerged as one of the United States’ most decorated athletes, representing the country in both national and international competitions.

With a remarkable record, Sensei Orbon has clinched 12 National Championship titles and 6 Continental Championship titles. Her achievements have also earned her the distinguished rank of 7th in the World Karate Federation rankings and an induction into the Stockton Athletic Hall of Fame.

Sensei Orbon’s affiliation with the USA Karate National Team commenced when she was 13 years old, and she upheld her National Team status for a decade. She was presented with the opportunity to join the Philippine National Team, a chance she embraced at the close of 2019, during which karate made its debut in the 2020 Olympic Games.
